I used to do the 30 day shred on my first go around (pre-Jackson). I liked Jillian Michaels. I know a lot of people don't like her militaristic style and constant yelling "Don't phone it in!!" but I enjoy it. I don't want someone with huge knockers and bleach blonde hair telling me to correct my form. I want someone like, well Jillian screaming at me through the screen.
I bought Shred it with Weights because I need a change. I am not a person of habit. When it comes to working out I need different types of exercising. I might run one week, go to the gym the next and do something completely different the next. My sister in law has experience with kettlebells and she has a cute figure so I thought, hey it's worth a shot and I need something different. I researched on it and decided 10lbs would be a good starting weight. While I'm not in MMA fighting form I am not out of shape and 10lbs of kettlebell seemed like it would challenge me but not kill me.
After Day 1, I really liked it. I rarely say that about working out but I really do like it. It was tough, it made me curse and I wanted to quit 10 minutes in but the thought of coming back here to write half a post about half a workout seemed a bit embarrassing so I trucked along. It was 30 minutes which is long enough to make me feel like I am doing something but short enough to where I don't turn it off and say "forget it" and use the case as a $8.99 coaster. So I will keep doing it. Granted I may feel differently in the morning after I realize my butt has muscles in it, I will keep going.
