Did someone say bathing suits? AHHHHHHHH

Want to make a woman cringe in fear, put her hands over her ears and go screaming through the night?  Whisper "bathing suit shopping" in their ear and back up 20 feet!  Today I decided to venture out into the mystical land of tankini's, bikini's, one pieces and *gasp* monokinis!!  Yes, I braved the trenches and moved the teeny boppers (God help me I just used that word) out of the way and scavenged the racks for something that would fit my checklist.

Yes I have a bathing suit checklist.  It's much like a checklist I would have for a man if I were a single woman. Must be supportive in all areas.  Must fit properly. Must make me look good.  Must compliment my assets and put no emphasis on my flaws.  Catch my drift ladies?  After an hour of shopping and dragging my kids and poor husband on a goose chase I found a tankini top.  Now some of you seen my facebook pictures from the last time I was at the beach and seen that I wore a bikini top.  While I plan to rock it out this time, I would also like better choices for my "fat" beach days.  Surprisingly this top hugged not squeezed my hips, pushed the girls up and came down long enough (nothing worse than a half tankini/half bikini mutt top).  I got it for the low price of $5 after my coupon at JcPenneys and it was a Large! Now believe me I am not a size snob.  I don't brag that I wear a certain size or have to fit in a certain size even if it makes me look like a stuffed moose.  I also bougth soffe shorts.  For those of you in the background of cheerleading you know these cute little shorts.  They seem to make your butt bubble up in a cute way and elongate your legs.  I remember trying these on when I was over 200lbs and crying in the dressing room mirror.  It's not a pretty sight when your body rejects these shorts.

So everyone rejoice in the little things.  You may not be at the size or weight you want to be but pat yourself on the back when you go down a size or fit in shorts that you can wear not vice versa! :)
