IHOP, diet friendly? *GASP*

I can't tell you the number of times I have went to a restaurant, ordered something and thought it would be healthy to find that I just consumed the equivalent calorie amount of a large pizza from Domino's.  So today I thought I would be proactive and do a little research before the family and I headed out to Ihop this morning for breakfast. To my surprise they actually are pretty healthy minded.  Yes, you can find a ton of entrees for over 1000+ calories but you can find quite a bit under 500 calories.  I ended up going with the Simple and Fit 2x2x2.  It had egg beaters, turkey bacon, whole wheat toast and fruit.  I am not going to lie, the fruit sucked.  It was 4 grapes, 2 small chunks of pineapple and some questionable looking melon.  The wheat toast was not buttered (I know shocker!) and the turkey bacon, eh.  I am not a fan of turkey bacon though so it may have been the best turkey bacon in the world and I wouldn't know it.  I will say, Olivia ate it happily.  The whole meal was 350 calories and I felt full even without the funny looking melon and 1 piece of turkey bacon.  I did eat 1 of Olivia's pancakes though but don't worry everyone,  I tracked it.

Overall I would give it a 3/5 stars.  I wish they would invest in some butter spray and beef up the fruit cup but ultimately I was pleased.  Nicely done, IHOP..
